Office Administrator

Our client, a dynamic multi-sector business based in Halifax, is seeking a highly organised and adaptable Administrator to join their team.

 

This is a unique opportunity to support two thriving business units: a high-volume Retail E-commerce operation and a professional Commercial Cleaning division.

The successful candidate will be the "operational glue" of the office, moving seamlessly between digital retail management and service-based logistics.

Key Responsibilities
Division 1: E-commerce & Retail Support
  • Listing Management: Assist in creating and optimizing product listings on Amazon and other e-commerce platforms.

  • Order Processing: Monitor daily sales, manage order fulfillment workflows, and coordinate with dispatch teams.

  • Customer Service: Act as the first point of contact for online customer inquiries, managing returns, and ensuring high seller ratings.

  • Stock Coordination: Monitor inventory levels and alert management when stock replenishment is required.

 
Division 2: Commercial Cleaning Operations
  • Scheduling & Rotas: Coordinate staff schedules and cleaning rotas to ensure all commercial client sites are fully covered.

  • Client Liaison: Respond to service inquiries, manage bookings, and maintain positive relationships with contract clients.

  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain records of Health & Safety documents (COSHH, Risk Assessments) and ensure staff have the necessary paperwork for site access.

  • Supply Management: Order cleaning materials and equipment, ensuring the team is always fully stocked.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role is essential. Experience with Amazon Seller Central or similar e-commerce platforms is a significant advantage.

  • Organisational Skills: You must be comfortable "context-switching" between two different business models and managing competing priorities.

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new software platforms.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional phone manner for client interactions.

  • Local Knowledge: Based in or within easy commuting distance of Halifax.
